Despite Pent-Up Demand, Schools Are Taking Their Time Picking New ELA Products

As California districts and charter schools begin receiving grants for their long-overdue English/language arts adoption, a pair of consultants evaluated what 35 of them are considering buying.

Their interviews with district officials turned up some interesting trends, including the fact that school leaders are being quite deliberate about their purchasing process, although for many districts it’s been more than a decade since they bought a product in this category.
